TAP Program

Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP)

A series of therapeutic-educational tracks designed to meet the specific needs of
individuals with Asperger Syndrome (or similar social needs) transitioning to adulthood

Upcoming Tracks:

  • Developing Positive Relationships/Communication Skills
  • Emotional Regulation (currently in session).
  • Addressing Executive Functioning: organization, time management, money management and problem solving skills
  • Self-Advocacy and Assertiveness


START DATES: To be determined based on number of referrals received. Maximum of 6
participants per group. Please call to reserve a spot!

Each program will meet for a total of 12 - 15 sessions and will also include:

  • Guest speakers
  • Community outings to foster learning and practice application of skills learned in session (outings are included in the total number of sessions)

Who is this group for? Individuals with Asperger Syndrome, ages 16-20
Where? Community Support Services, 610 Manton Ave. Providence, RI (3rd
floor)
Fees: $35 per session (Must commit to attending at least 80% of sessions)
Accepted insurance: For Dr. Kelley Pistacchio, the following insurance coverage is
accepted: Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, United Behavioral Health, Neighborhood Health,
Medicaid and Medicare. For Kristen Petrella, LCSW, Medicaid, Medicare, United
Behavioral Health and Neighborhood Health are accepted.
Community outings - $45 per outing (2-3 outings per track)
